Blue Oak School is a co-educational, independent TK-8 school in downtown Napa, offering a progressive education that nurtures a lifelong love of learning. Blue Oak was founded in 2002 by two families who wanted to create a school where students would be encouraged to stretch and grow and given the tools to become independent learners. What began as a K-4 school with just over 70 students is now a thriving TK-8 school with more than 190 students. While the majority of our students come from Napa, the Blue Oak community includes families from Calistoga, St. Helena, Rutherford, Yountville, American Canyon, Vallejo, Fairfield and Sonoma, along with families who have recently arrived in California from New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Australia, and China. Blue Oak’s eighth-grade graduates enroll in high schools near and far.
