Blue Oak School is Napa Valley’s only independent TK–8 school, located in downtown Napa. Since 2002, we’ve provided a progressive, inquiry-based education that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence. With small class sizes and a student-centered approach, we focus on academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and real-world learning. Our curriculum includes literacy, math, science, social studies, Spanish, art, music, P.E., and mindfulness. Unique programs like “BreakAway!” and community-based projects engage students beyond the classroom. In 2024, we opened a state-of-the-art middle school campus to further enrich student experiences. At Blue Oak, we prepare students for success in high school and beyond while fostering empathy, critical thinking, and a strong sense of belonging.

The American Gunsmithing Institute offers distance education in the following programs: Professional and Practical Gunsmithing, Welding, and Machine Shop including instruction in Lathe, Vertical Mill and General Machine Shop. These courses are comprehensive and easy to understand, enabling the student to become an expert in a short amount of time, while learning from their home.
