Dr. Robert "Trey" Burns III, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, earned his Bachelor's Degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2015, and his Medical Degree from the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2020. Dr. Burns completed his residency in Urology at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in 2025. He joined The Baton Rouge Clinic's Urology Department in the Summer of 2025. Dr. Trey Burns is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and is a member of both the American Urology Association and the Louisiana Urology Society. He has a few special interests, which include treating cancers of the genitourinary organs, kidney stone surgery, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) surgery, penile implants, and upper tract urinary reconstruction. Dr. Burns is married to his wife, Taylor, and together they have two children. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys backpacking, cooking, hunting, playing golf, and traveling.
