Chickens make wonderful pets and are excellent at natural weed and pest control. We help people live a healthier, more self-sustaining lifestyle by offering our pasture raised point-of-lay pullets to the backyard enthusiast at affordable prices. We breed and raise laying hens up to the point-of-lay which can take 6 to 8 months depending on the breed of chicken. Our primarly stock includes Rhode Island Reds, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Delawares, Red Stars, and Black Stars. All of the aforementioned breeds are dual purpose and lay a large to jumbo brown egg. Occasionally, we offer Welsummers and Speckled Sussexs. We also sell nest run eggs, straight run chicks, young roos, and assorted dual breed hatching eggs consisting of our primary breeds offered at the time.

Built on a foundation of passion and commitment our seed stock operation consists of just under 100 Registered Red Angus females purchased in 2015 as bred heifers. These young dams are sound phenotypically/genetically correct group with genealogy. Here at Good Poultry Farms our mission is to consistently produce high maternal Red Angus cattle with rapid growth, performance, unsurpassed carcass traits, structural soundness and eye appeal. Our breeding program is relatively simple - use only the most proven AI sires that will add performance and pounds without sacrificing calving ease and maternal traits, We keep in mind our customers want to like what they are looking at and always strive for the correct phenotype. We firmly believe that will always be a significant ingredient in a cow-calf operation’s success. Our goal is to consistently produce a uniform product that will fit our commercial customer’s needs and offer genetics that are desired by other purebred breeding programs. We utilize the ultramodern tools available for cattle DNA testing. Highly accurate genomic enhanced EPD’s assist seedstock selection and accelerate breed improvement.
