Expungement
Dr. Mannie L. Brodie Jr., began a bible study back in June 1995 with a small gathering of people who wanted to understand the Word of God. It was three years later that through these bible studies the "call of God" came to Dr. Mannie L. Brodie, Jr. to begin a ministry in Fontana, CA. Obedient to the call of God, Dr Brodie did as he was instructed, secured a location and began Principles of Faith Christian Center on May 3, 1998. The first meetings were held at Bethel AME Church in Fontana, CA, with 100 in attendance and shortly thereafter the ministry moved to the Juniper SDA Church, also in Fontana. The church membership began to experience phenomenal growth that led Dr. Brodie to the pursuit of the God given vision for launching an even bigger church on a 27,000 sq. ft. property. God told Dr. Brodie to write a letter to the owners of the property and believe God that the property would be leased to him. By his obedience and faith in God, it came to pass and by April 2000, a lease agreement was signed and the property became the first official home of Principles of Faith Christian Center.
In 2001, the City of Fontana attempted to secure the property due to eminent domain. Standing on Isaiah 54:17 which says, No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper, the church believed in the power of God for the miraculous and constantly stayed in expectation for a mighty move from God. Faith in God turned the situation around so that we, the lessee were compensated at $1.4 million and the lessor received $298,000. Immediately, construction began for the new PFCC home built from the ground up, the 24,000-square-foot, two-story structure at 17977 Merrill Avenue was completed in December 2002 at a cost of $2.4 million and includes a 800-seat sanctuary, school, day-care center, fitness room, bookstore, multipurpose area, recording studio and offices.
Dr. Mannie and First Lady Winifred Brodie continue to believe God through a membership that has grown to touch others by: The Walking by Faith Television Ministry, Principles of Faith Radio Ministry, The Expungement and Community Plea Programs, The Annual Faith Conference, Wealth Development Strategies Seminar and The Breakthrough Conference, along with many other community programs; they are impacting lives for the Glory of God.

Historically, St. Charles was founded in 1854 along the bank of the Whitewater River and became a City in 1858. Located in the heart of the richest farmland in southern Minnesota, St. Charles quickly grew into an agricultural center. Much of that heritage we have retained today.
The City of St. Charles was named for St. Charles of Italy. Our City lies in a fertile valley and early settlers were drawn to this area because of the Whitewater River, the beauty of the surrounding limestone bluffs and the richness of the land.
In 1864, the first railroad tracks crossed the City limits, connecting St. Charles with our neighbors in Winona. Electric power illuminated St. Charles in December 1903, with the first currents of electricity brightening the bulbs of St. Charles' 70th Christmas. The firs

First Christian Church is a community-outreach focused congregation that fostered both high volunteerism and joyful, close relationships through the congregation's various ministries. We seek to study and worship. With several Sunday Classes prior to worship to choose from, Sunday Worship is music-focused, with pragmatic sermons. Sunday mornings classes start at 9:30 a.m, with Worship starting at 10:45 a.m. We seek to serve. A major part of the life of our congregation is providing a safe, welcoming, and giving place for those from the surrounding community to be served, without any expectations. This takes place primarily through the weekly community meal known as "The Welcome Table" in which we serve dinner on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in a restaurant-style meal for 130 to as many as 185 from the surrounding community. All are welcome, rich or poor, secure or homeless, well or disabled, families or singles - in partnership with Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. This also includes a post-meal food items disbursement and a clothes closet for those in want. We seek to host community service organizations. To ensure best facility usage that honors God, weekly meetings of AA, Al-Anon, four Girl Scout troops, and other groups meet here. We seek to minister to one another. The minister and six elders provide visitation to the sick, shut-ins, and others of the congregation and those identified by members of the congregation - who need support, communion, and/or counseling. In addition, the pastor is available for couples and individual counseling, whether one is of the Christian faith or not - one will be assisted. As a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we are centered in the wisdom that "in essentials - unity, in non-essentials - diversity, and in all things - love. Come and see what that's like!
