Joan C. Wojak, MD, FSIR, FAHA, is an esteemed radiologist with Acadiana Radiology Group located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Dr. Wojak offers her patients specialized care in diagnostic and interventional radiology, focusing on stroke prevention and treatment, aneurysms, head and neck tumors, and vertebral compression fractures. Dr. Wojak received her medical degree from the esteemed NYU School of Medicine, and continued her education with an internship in general surgery at New York University. Later, she conducted residencies in neurosurgery, radiology, diagnostic and interventional radiology. When not tending to her patients, Dr. Wojak teaches at the Louisiana State School of Medicine in New Orleans as an Associate Professor of Radiology. She consistently educates herself and has the drive to learn as much as possible about her field. Remaining involved outside of the clinical setting, Dr. Wojak is the Executive Director of the Acadiana Therapeutic Riding Organization, sits on the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association, and has co-authored several publications over the years.
