Young Artists of America at Strathmore is a non-profit educational organization offering musical theater training to gifted and committed high school performing artists throughout the year. Through mentorship and individualized instruction from world-renowned musicians, high school and middle school level students train collaboratively to perform fully orchestrated, classical and musical theater concerts in state-of-the-art venues such as Strathmore.

Bach To Rock is the Music School for students of all ages. B2R’s unique method is based on the knowledge that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. That’s why we use special arrangements of the music of our time and combine individual lessons with band instruction. Weekly “jam sessions” lead to Battles of the Bands and recording sessions in B2R Studios, our own professional recording facilities. B2R also holds regularly scheduled public concerts that encourage students to become seasoned performers. These creative group activities foster teamwork, build self-esteem and motivate students to perfect their musicianship through independent practice.

 I have been playing cello for 35 years. I have PhD in Pedagogy, and I studied at Moscow Conservatory and Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. It is possible to arrange having a private lesson at your home. I can come to Columbia, Ellicott City, Westminster, Pikesville, Owings Mills, Clarksville, Marriottsville and other places. Please inquire about this option. I have found that private one-on-one lesson allows students to progress at their own pace and attain the highest understanding of musical techniques. Students can start private lessons as young as 4 years old. I offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour cello lessons. I teach students from beginners to very advanced.
