Thrifty Adventures is an Adventure Travel Company based out of the Blue Ridge mountains in Western North Carolina. Established in Concord NC in 2011 we provided basic Rock Climbing Trips to folks in the Charlotte NC area. In 2015 we relocated to WNC where we became the most diverse Wilderness Guide Company in NC. We offer an array of services including: Rock Climbing (beginner to advanced), Rappelling/Abseiling, Waterfall Rappelling, Whitewater, River Tubing, Yoga Hikes and various youth programs. Two new programs include Wilderness Photography and Botany Classes; foraging for wild edibles. TA is a certified and insured company providing Adventure Travel Trips all over NC and SC. Our guides are highly qualified in the courses they teach, holding various certification in their field of choice as well as medical training. We guarantee a fun and SAFE trip for all!

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The Rotary Club of Spruce Pine was established in 1928 under the sponsorship of the Charlotte Rotary Club and has served our Mitchell County communities continuously since then. In addition to service in the local community, our club has sponsored or co-sponsored projects in Mississippi, Guatemala, The Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women. The world's Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.
