The Mahea Uchiyama Center for International Dance is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization where the world comes to dance. Led by Mahealani Uchiyama, as the artistic director/ kumu hula and her vision to provide a place where students of all ages and abilities can take part in multicultural dance experience through traditional training, lecture, demonstrations, performance opportunities and workshops with master teachers. The Center offers a beautiful, airy space in West Berkeley which features 1,750 square feet, the latest wood sprung floor and mirrors. There's plenty of free parking, excellent light and a quiet and inspiring atmosphere. Safe and secure for evening classes and performances with a seating capacity of ninety. We are conveniently located with easy freeway access.
