Coming to our orchard is a nice day trip from the New York metro area. We are near the Hudson River and at the edge of the Catskills. Visible from here is Mohonk Mountain, a resort with a hotel built like a castle. This whole area is historic--from the nearby stone houses to the D&H Canal and cement mines. Our orchard has an interesting history which you can learn about during your visit. I like chatting with people, especially on the weekends. As I say, we supply bags but please bring a smile. This season has been a bit tough weatherwise. There were ten days of rain just after bloom. But most of the crop is fine although there may be some rough looking skin due to my refusal to spray every other day! It's a tough life. If you have an idea about the land, tell me. Read my website.
