Dr. Kanza Abbas earned her medical degree in Internal Medicine in 2008 from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 2013. She also completed a fellowship program in Hematology-Oncology at Baylor in 2016. Dr. Abbas is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Abbas enjoys sketching, reading fiction and spending time with family. Dr. Abbas's favorite book is "Gone with the Wind," by Margaret Mitchell. She loves spending time with her husband and kids and enjoys the small moments of life.

Dr. Hu earned her medical degree at Wannan Medical College, Wuhu, China. She completed her internship and residency a The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Vu earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego. He completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Vu finished the Hematology/Oncology fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine and spent one year doing subspecialty rotations and clinical research at M.D. Anderson and the world-renowned Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Vu is fluent in English and Vietnamese. He cares for patients at Kelsey-Seybold's Main Campus near the Texas Medical Center and at our Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center in northwest Houston.

Hafsa Ishaq, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant in the Hematology/Oncology department at Kelsey-Seybold's Berthelsen Main Campus. She received her Master of Health Science degree upon completing the physician associate program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City in 2019. Following graduation, she cared for patients as a physician assistant in Hematology/Oncology at the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and as a physician assistant in primary and urgent care at the Shifa Clinic in Oklahoma City. She joined the Kelsey-Seybold Hematology/Oncology department in 2021.

Dr. Hima Reddy Boppidi earned her medical degree in Internal Medicine in 2008 from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., in 2012. She also completed a fellowship program in Hematology-Oncology at the Medical College of Georgia/Georgia Regents University (now Augusta University) in Augusta, Ga., in 2016. Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in October 2017, Dr. Boppidi was Assistant Professor of Medicine at Augusta University Cancer Center where her focus was on breast, head, and neck cancers. Dr. Boppidi is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Southern Medical Association, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.

Dr. Mohammad Ali Jafri is a board-certified Hematology and Medical Oncology physician. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 2011. He completed his internship at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and his Internal Medicine residency in 2016 at Yale-New Haven Waterbury. Dr. Jafri completed his Hematology/Oncology fellowship in 2019 at New York Medical College, serving as chief fellow in his final year. He previously served as attending physician at KDMS Tri-State Hematology/Oncology in Ashland, KY.

Sara Ashraf, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Hematology/Oncology specialist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. She earned her medical degree in 2011 at Dow Medical College, Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. In 2018, she completed the Yale-New Haven Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale School of Medicine in Waterbury, Conn. She completed her Hematology/Oncology fellowship in 2019 at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University and the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center in Huntington, W.V.

Dr. Nallusamy earned her medical degree at Chengalpattu Medical College, Tamilnadu, India. She completed her internship and residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York, and completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the State University of New York Medical Center.

Dr. Tejash Patel is Chief of Hematology and Oncology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree at the University of California at Los Angeles and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California at Irvine, in Orange, California. He completed fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at UCLA - Olive View Medical Center. Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. When Dr. Patel isn't caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
