The STAR in the East is a Congregation of "the WAY" of Yeshua (Jesus) located in Canton, OH.
Established in June of 1998 as "The STAR in The East Messianic Congregation", led by founding and current Rabbi Michael Oyler. From our humble beginnings meeting in the lower level of Cornerstone Chapel, to 14 years in the Oakwood Square, to our current location for the past 5 years in the former City of Hope church, the SITE has remained steadfast declaring there is but one GOD...one WORD and one WAY...through Messiah Yeshua.
The SITE has evolved into a young, vibrant family where Biblical truth supersedes religious tradition.
We hope to see you this coming Shabbat (Saturday) @ 10 AM or online on FACEBOOK & YOUTUBE.

What We Believe
The Messianic Congregation of Chicago is committed to communicate the Good News of Messiah to both Jews and Gentiles. We express our commitment to God and to one another in how we worship and by holding a common bond which includes:
A calling to our Jewish identity as modeled by Israel's Messiah. This identity is powered by God's Spirit and guided by God's Holy Scriptures.
This identity is reflected in the celebration of the Biblical Holy Days that was given by God to His people. It is found also in our prayer for Israel and the Nations that they might come to Messiah. We believe that God's people are called to love and pray for Israel and the Nations that they might know Yeshua as the promised Messiah. This is effectively done through sharing the Good News of Yeshua

Greetings! We are a body of believers who accept both
the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. We hold that
a belief in the Savior is necessary for salvation.
Churchianity in general has not been faithful in following the Bible. Surprisingly, many of today's popular teachings and customs are not based in Scripture. We strive to return to the old paths of truth that have largely been ignored, and obediently follow in the footsteps of the Redeemer of Israel, Jude 3.
We observe the weekly Sabbath (on the seventh day) known as Saturday, just as did the Savior, Luke 4:16 , as well as Paul and the Apostles, Acts 13:42-46; 17:2; 18:4.
We also call our Heavenly Father by His revealed, personal name Yahweh, which He says is His memorial name forever, Exodus 3:15.
