We operate the Pioneer House museum at 28 Gish Road in Rittman, Ohio. There you'll find exhibits representing early life in Rittman from the pioneer era through the early 20th century. We proudly feature materials reflecting the history of the industries that have called Rittman home throughout the years, and a room dedicated to Rittman's veterans.
We also operate historic Knupp Church on Kunkler Drive just north of Rittman Cemetery on Decourcey Road. This beautiful one-room church was built in 1817, and is available for meeting and wedding rentals.
In addition to several open houses and events held throughout the year, both locations can be viewed at your request. We welcome any size group, from one or two to school classes, scout troops, church groups, etc.

Crabill Homestead is on the National Register of Historic Places. It on the west shore of the reservoir in Buck Creek State Park.[5] The homestead was settled in 1813 by David and Barbara Crabill who arrived in the area on a Conestoga Wagon from Virginia. The home is a two story Federal style house that is surrounded by various outbuildings. It was slated be demolished with the construction of the dam. Instead the Clark County Historical Society acquired the property and painstakingly restored and preserved the homestead having it open to public from 1975-2007.
In 2010, the homestead was acquired by George Rogers Clark Heritage Association of Clark County, and will again be opened to the public for tours, historical lectures, meetings, banquets, and weddings, beginning Spring 2011.
