Chesapeake Urology's Annapolis clinic offers a range of services from routine check-ups and preventive care to the diagnosis and treatment of complex urological conditions. Chesapeake Urology's Annapolis clinic, which expands urologic care throughout Anne Arundel County, features an open and modern patient waiting area, comfortable patient exam rooms, as well as areas for private consultation and minor office procedures. The space also includes a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center adjacent to the medical office.

Dr. Smentkowski earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. She received her Medical Doctorate at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk, VA where she was involved in community outreach and elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She went on to complete Urological Residency at EVMS as well as a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Diane is a certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in urology care who works closely with the physicians in Chesapeake Urology's Annapolis office. She joined Chesapeake Urology in August 2020 and performs consultations and assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the hospital and office setting as well as through telehealth video visits. Diane is also helping with COVID-19 tracking and tracing efforts.

Emily Maru, PA-C, is a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant who provides general urology care and assists Dr. Adam Kern with pediatric urology at Chesapeake Urology. With a diverse medical background and exceptional military experience, Emily brings a unique perspective to her work, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of Arizona where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She continued to earn her Master of Medical Science from Wake Forest School of Medicine during which she developed a passion for surgical subspecialties.

Dr. Christine Santayana is a highly esteemed Urogynecologist specializing in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (UPRS). With extensive training and fellowship in this specialized field, Dr. Santayana possesses a comprehensive understanding of female pelvic health and offers expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of urogenital conditions in women. Dr. Santayana's expertise lies in Urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery, where she skillfully addresses conditions such as stress urinary incontinence, urgency urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, vaginal fistula, fecal incontinence, and pelvic floor disorders.

Dr. Levin has been in the private practice of urology since 1995. His special interests include minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer and stone disease as well as minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including Rezm and GreenLight Laser Therapy.

Dr. Michael Witthaus is a fellowship-trained urologist who specializes in reconstructive and robotic surgery, penile prosthetic surgery, and cancer survivorship, with a particular focus on men's urologic care and male sexual health. Dr. Witthaus emphasizes improving men's health and quality of life following cancer survivorship including penile function and continence recovery following prostate cancer treatment, as well as restoring the urinary tract via reconstructive techniques to eliminate alternative drainage requirements.

Dr. Adam Kern is one of the foremost fellowship-trained pediatric urologists in the Mid-Atlantic region. He serves as Director of Pediatric Urology at Chesapeake Urology and leads the practice's pediatric urology program, Chesapeake Urology for Children. Dr. Kern joined Chesapeake Urology in September 2019 after previously being in private practice in Annapolis, Maryland.
